"The dogs sensed it coming, The rousing storm, the humming, The wind, the wind, was a whistling, A sorry song. The soldiers heard it coming, The hooves, the ground, the rumbling, And the wings of ravens drumming, To the sybil's sighs. And I feel it coming, The love now drips the sun in, Through hands that hold no blood in, Those hands can't sow our land." (Hearing about the way the wild dogs fled the streets on the Indian Ocean coast before the Tsunami hit, and saved certain people who took their absence as a sign that something wasn't right, reminded me of my own sense that my relationship was ending long before the end actually came...)

I am the bridge that they call Waterloo I am the rain that is soaking me through I am the wheels spinning round and around as I ride I am the pine trees a hundred years old I am the storm that is making me cold I am the call of the blackbird that echoes above I say, I say, I'm nearly home today I say, I say, I'm nearly home today I am the cedar wood keeping me warm I am the slope in the sunlight at dawn I am the mist in my face as I walk through the dunes I am the ground pounding by as I run I am the snow that now melts in the sun I am the flowers that smell in the cool evening dew I say, I say, I'm nearly home today I say, I say, I'm nearly home today

about

After a period writing electronica, I packed away my samplers and synthesisers and went to live by the sea in Cornwall and filled the room with acoustic instruments. Then I wrote and recorded over fifty songs which I am now starting to release.

This is my first EP in a musical series of six. It is called simply
Songs 1-4, subtitled Sybil of Delphi. The second EP will be called
Songs 5-9 and so it will continue. The pieces vary from four minute songs to longer soundscapes. Song 13 is a sixteen minute piece of collaged instrumentation and vocals with an improvisation on Fender Rhodes added on top.

The cds are a limited edition with just 100 copies available. They are hand made using beautiful recycled card and illustrated by illustrator Michaela Meadow. Each cd is accompanied by an illustrated story.
